The Design Process

Everything you need to know about the beginning, the middle and the end...

It can be quite daunting to know where to start, who to talk to and how much to budget when it comes to event stationery & styling. Most people often think approaching a designer is out of their price range however that’s not the case! Working with a range of products, stocks and designs, I can tailor make your stationery & styling to suit you and your budget!

01. The beginning

It all starts with hello! Don’t be nervous, it’s just little old me here! After you’ve had a read through the information below and feeling confident that you trust me and want to work with me, fill out the enquiry form to get started. Make sure you include as much information as you possibly can so I can get the bigger picture of your big day! If you have left anything out, don’t stress - I will help you out.

02. The middle

After you get in touch we will organise a time for a quick chat to run through your expectations of the day, this is so important as you get to sus me out and see if I am the right fit for you! Whether you are just getting stationery or adding in styling as well, I will piece together some mockups and pricing so everything is transparent and there are no hidden fees ~ no one likes those!

03. The end

Once we have combined all of the moving parts, chosen final designs and final looks ~ everything comes together! We are close to the wedding now so everything is locked in and ready to go. Final proofs will be sent for stationery and final styling elements will be signed off ~ let’s go get married!

Those burning questions answered…

  • I always recommend printing a spare 10 invitations/suites just in case you have any last minute guests or for keepsake. It costs substantially more to print small runs as the minimum print run is 50 qty.

  • Of course! I will send you through digital proofs of your designs and mockup the suite to sit together to show you exactly how it will look. I will show you on screen colours however most/If not all of my stocks are coloured so their pigments are beautiful and much nicer than printing flat colour on white stock. I will show you samples of these stock colours to make sure you love them.

  • The burning question and one that scares most people away! However it doesn’t need to. Printing works by the more you print, the cheaper each item gets, so there is no minimum spend as such, however the less you print the more expensive each item becomes. If you were looking at a standard invitation + envelope suite for approx 100pp, you will spend anywhere from $800. This will include the design hours, the assembly and delivery. I pride myself on only using the best stocks and suppliers to ensure what I provide is of a high standard. However please always get in touch with me, I will always see what I can do.

*styling is additional on top of stationery costs

  • Everything and anything! Whether it's a seating chart and welcome sign for your big day, directional signs for a party or product signage for your new launch! Any shape, any size and any qty.

  • It’s just little old me here behind the computer! You will be chatting with me throughout the whole process, I also assemble everything together (my OCD makes me very particular) and pop it in the post to you (my favourite and most nerve wracking part!). You might even meet me/see me whilst setting up on the day - I look forward to it!

  • I am a firm believer of creating custom and bespoke events that reflect you as the couple. So there are no set themes! I work with a bunch of amazing vendors to get the right products and stock items to ensure your vision is brought to life!

  • Well how long is a piece of string…this really comes down to what you want to achieve. Does your venue have it all, maybe you are just after a pop of colour in your napkins and table linen or maybe your venue is a blank canvas and you need some beautiful furniture and styling pieces to bring in your personality and design flare! The options are endless, so get in touch with me if you are unsure!

  • Styling is an add on service once you have booked your stationery, after all we love creating a space that is cohesive ~ and hey the less vendors you have to book ~ the better!

  • Of course! If you are adding on styling elements with me, I will be there on the day to ensure everything is set and ready to go as per the brief. This is of course the best part, when I make the mood board come to life! Whilst depending on the level of styling, I may or may not be there to see you tie the knot!

  • Well this is really the best part, and the part where I blow your socks off! Creating the mood board is one of my favourite parts of the process, it’s the part where you envision your big day before it’s even arrived. I create very detailed mood boards to ensure that you are across every detail, it might even bring a tear to your eye.
